NEONCard / Field guide
Check gift card currency and regional restrictions
A familiar retailer name does not tell you everything about a gift card. Cards bearing similar branding can have different issuing regions, currencies, and redemption conditions. NEONCard's form uses a dollar-denominated value display, but it does not offer a separate currency or country selector. That makes it important to resolve uncertainty before entering a value.
Find the issuer's own regional information
Look at the card, original delivery email, packaging, or issuer terms for the currency and the country or marketplace where it can be redeemed. Note the exact product name rather than just the retailer. A store card, wallet code, and network-branded prepaid card can have different instructions even when purchased from the same retailer.
Use official issuer resources to check restrictions. Do not trust a search result or a stranger's claim that any code can be changed into another region. Changing your own account location does not establish that NEONCard can accept a particular card.
- Record the currency stated on the card or delivery message.
- Identify the issuing country or redemption marketplace.
- Read restrictions on use and account compatibility.
- Keep the exact product label for a support inquiry.
Read the selector labels carefully
The card selector includes an Apple Gift Card entry labeled US only and separately named products for some other card types. Those labels matter. A listing is not a universal statement that all currencies, territories, or variants of that brand are accepted.
If you cannot find an exact match, do not choose the closest-looking card or the miscellaneous entry as a way around a regional question. Ask support whether the specific product is eligible. You can usually describe the product and region without sharing its full redemption code.
Do not invent a currency conversion
The exchange quote multiplies the value entered by an exchange percentage. It is not presented as a foreign-exchange calculator. Entering a balance from another currency as though it were the same dollar amount can create a misleading quote.
Before proceeding with a non-matching or unclear currency, ask what value should be entered and whether the card can be considered at all. Also confirm any payout-destination restrictions relevant to your own account. A payout method being listed does not prove that it works for every location.
Ask a precise eligibility question
A useful inquiry includes the exact card name, physical or e-gift format, stated currency, issuing region, condition, and balance amount. Explain what the selector does or does not show. Keep the response with your notes and request a current quote only after the mismatch is understood. Neither a numerical quote nor a successful upload resolves regional eligibility by itself.
