NEONCard / Field guide
Make gift card photos and uploads easy to read
A useful attachment lets someone read the details that belong to the card you are submitting. It is not enough for an image to look attractive or for a file to appear in the upload list. NEONCard checks file type, size, and required file count, while you should also check clarity, completeness, and privacy before sending the evidence.
Take clear physical-card photographs
Place the card on a plain surface in even light. Hold the camera steady, focus on the printed text, and avoid reflections from glossy plastic. Check the resulting image at a readable size, not just as a small thumbnail. Retake any picture where digits blend together or a corner is cut off.
For physical Visa, Mastercard, and OneVanilla selections, prepare separate front and back images. The form needs at least two files for these selections, including Visa-branded retailer variants. Give the views different filenames; the upload list replaces an existing attachment when another file has the same name.
- Include the relevant card edges and printed details.
- Avoid fingers or shadows over numbers and codes.
- Keep unrelated documents out of the background.
- Check that both required views belong to the same card.
Capture digital evidence without losing context
For an e-gift, capture the actual gift card details from its delivery source. Keep the product name and needed redemption information visible. For e-gift Visa, Mastercard, and OneVanilla entries, the form specifically requests the card number, expiration date, and CVV in the image.
Exclude unrelated inbox messages, browser tabs, and notifications where possible. Do not obscure information the exchange instructions need, but do avoid including material that has nothing to do with the trade. A receipt is optional supporting evidence; it should not replace required card views.
Check file format, size, and upload state
The upload validation accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, and PDF files and rejects files larger than 10MB each. If your device saves another image format, export a supported version rather than merely changing the filename extension. Keep enough resolution for the text to remain readable.
Drop files into the upload area or browse for them. Wait until processing has finished, review the listed names and sizes, and remove an incorrect attachment with its remove control. At least one file is required for every submission, even where explanatory copy describes extra pictures as optional.
Handle an error without guessing
Read the specific upload error, correct the type or size, and select the files again. If processing fails repeatedly, note the file type, size, device, and error wording for support. Do not post the full card image publicly to demonstrate the problem, and do not assume an upload confirmation means the trade itself has been approved.
